Lactoflor Kids – Viable Probiotic bacteria, specially selected for children’s digestive system

Lactoflor Kids is a Probiotic product, developed especially for young children. It contains four strains of lactic acid bacteria (L.helveticus, L.acidophilus, L.bulgaricus, Str.thermophilus), combined with three strains of the useful Bifidobacteria (B. bifidum, B. infantis, B. Longum). Each Probiotic microorganism supports the functioning of the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract and boosts children’s immune system.

L.helveticus: These microorganisms stimulate children’s immune and digestive system. They reduce the growth of unhealthy bacteria, alleviate the symptoms of lactose intolerance and help to discontinue the symptoms of diarrhea. L.helveticus promote Calcium absorption, thus increasing bone density and provide strong bones and teeth in children.

L.acidophilus: Is one of the most beneficial among Probiotics and exists naturally in every healthy digestive system. It promotes and maintains a healthy GI tract, thus stimulating food digestion and the absorption of useful food ingredients. L.acidiphilus takes part in the production of lactic acid and hydrogen peroxide, which prevent the development of pathogens (like E.coli). L.acidiphilus reduces the symptoms of diarrhea in young children, especially after antibiotic treatment and help in cases of allergic reactions (rhinitis, skin irritation, etc).

L.bulgaricus: These popular lactic acid bacteria, originating in Bulgaria, are known to have vast beneficial properties to the whole human organism. The everyday intake of L.bulgaricus reduces intestinal infections and lowers intestinal pH, thus making it hard for pathogens to survive and multiply. These Probiotics boost the immune system, enhance the growth of friendly bacteria and act against harmful free radicals.

Str.thermophilus: One of the most important Probiotic functions of this strain is associated with reducing the symptoms of different gastro-intestinal disorders. Str.thermophilus takes part in lactose decomposition thus helping people suffering from lactose intolerance. They also act as antioxidants and protect the children’s organism by eliminating the toxins which occur in cases of stress and after antibiotic treatment. Str.thermophilus prevents the transformation of nitrates into cancer-causing nitrates and generally has a positive effect on overall health and digestive system.

Bifidobacterium: It naturally exists in every healthy digestive system.

Bifidobacterium bifido: Maintains the microflora balance within the intestines, controls the increase of harmful bacteria, boosts the immune system, and aids in the digestive process.

Bifidobacterium infantis: Produces acids, which may help impede the growth and colonization of harmful bacteria, plays important role in digestion, proper metabolism and overall well-being. It restores intestinal balance and maintains normal digestive health. Helps in cases of bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal discomfort. It lowers the pH of the intestinal contents, creating conditions less desirable for harmful bacteria. That’s why it may help provide relief to individuals suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) symptoms.

Bifidobacterium longum: Maintains normal digestive tract, inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria and also boosts the immune system. Helps in cases of diarrhea after antibiotic treatment, reduces cholesterol, alleviate lactose intolerance symptoms, and stimulates the immune system. Assists the body in maintaining a healthy balance of the intestinal flora by producing organic compounds, that increase the acidity of the intestines and inhibits the reproduction of many harmful bacteria. It may minimize the effect of or prevent the following: constipation associated with weight loss, various types of allergies, inflammation associated with Crohn’s disease or colitis, or high levels of cholesterol.

Probiotic + Fibers

Probiotics are live microbial food ingredients that have a beneficial effect on human body by improving its gastro-intestinal micro flora balance:

Support and strengthen our body’s immune system.

Help suppress putrefactive processes in the intestine and maintain normal gastro-intestinal micro flora.

Supports peristalsis and intestine good functioning.

Promote correct digestion and absorption of food nutrients.

Help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.

Reduce osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis risk.

Overcome skin problems and allergies.

Improve nutrition balance by providing necessary amino acids and natural vitamins.

Prevent constipation, bloating, diarrhoea & flatulence.

Assist weight reduction.

What are the Prebiotics?

Prebiotics are “food ingredients which stimulate the growth of good bacteria in the gastro-intestinal (GI) system”. Kendy uses inulin (fibers) as a prebiotic which can increase the volume of good bacteria by up to x10.

Our general level of health depends to a large extent upon the condition of the friendly bacteria in our GI system and their ability to control harmful bacteria and help us ingest nutrients from food.

When Probiotics are combined with Fibers they have more powerful and beneficial effect on gastro-intestinal system than standard Probiotics.

What is Inulin and is it in all probiotic products?

No, few Probiotics products contain Inulin. It is a natural Fiber, extracted from chicory roots. It is beneficial for the good bacteria in gastro-intestinal tract. Studies show that inulin can increase the absorption of calcium (an important nutrient especially for women and children) by 18%.

Lactoflor capsules and tablets – advantages

Optimize immune and digestive system.

Patented blend including 2 unique strains of Lactobacillicus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus.

Extremely powerful formula with Fibers added ensuring fast and effective reproduction of “friendly bacteria” in gastro-intestinal system.

Aren’t all Probiotics bacteria the same?

No! Different Lactobacilli strains have different characteristics and very different survival and reproductive capabilities when in the hostile environment of the human gastro-intestinal system.

„Lactobacillus bulgaricus was the lactic acid starter species with the best Probiotic characteristics among the starter species tested”.

C.G. Vinderola, J.A. Reinheimer – Food Research Int. (2003)
